Regula Bürgi is a post-doctoral researcher at the Department of Vocational Education and Training, University of Zurich. She studied Educational Sciences, German Language and Literature, and Psychology at the University of Zurich and Heidelberg. In 2015, she completed her PhD in Educational Sciences at the University of Luxembourg. Her dissertation on the rise of international educational expertise – entitled “Die OECD und die Bildungsplanung der freien Welt. Denkstile und Netzwerke einer internationalen Bildungsexpertise” – was published in 2017 (Opladen: Barbara Budrich). Before joining the University of Zurich, she held a post-doctoral position at the University of Luxembourg and worked as a lecturer at the School of Education FHNW. Currently she is working on a project that focuses on governance processes in vocational education and training in Switzerland (SNF-Projekt „Konturen des dualen Modells; Regulierung und Gestaltung der Berufsbildung in der Schweiz“).
