Barbara E. Hof is finalizing her dissertation on the history of education and training in so-called big science. Her research interests also include the intersection of cybernetics and educational technology, the cultural and conceptual history of artificial intelligence, the history of higher education, and epistemology (in particular model theories).
She was awarded the 2018 ISCHE Early Career Conference Paper Award.
She is a member of the International Standing Conference for the History of Education (ISCHE), the Gesellschaft für Geschichte der Wissenschaften, der Medizin und Technik (GWMT), the UZH Digital Society Initiative, and affiliated researcher of the Digital Agenda
