Level Up Your Teaching: A Serious Game for Developing Self-Regulated-Learning

Self-regulated learning (SRL) is essential for successful lifelong learning in schools and beyond. Many learners have limited or poorly developed SRL competencies. Teachers have a crucial role to play in promoting these SRL competencies. These can be fostered and improved in the school context through the implementation of effective SRL teaching. However, teachers face challenges in integrating SRL into their daily teaching practice. Teachers' existing professional competences in SRL are of great importance as they significantly influence the effective promotion of SRL. The overall aim of this project is to embed SRL in the classroom. To this end, digital professional development tools will be developed with and for teachers to enhance their professional competences in promoting SRL, and their effectiveness will be evaluated.
